What is Super Simple Shop?

Super Simple Shop is a hosted application that allows you to set up your own online shop to sell your goods. It lets you choose a design for your shop, organise your products, accept credit card payments, and track and respond to orders.

How do I get started?
A
Simply click the ‘sign up’ link on the home page (or select one of the free trial offers available) and follow the onscreen instructions. You’ll need to give us some information about yourself so we can set up your shop, and if you want to take payments through the site you’ll also need a merchant account. There’s nothing to download as we’ll host your shop for you.

How long do I sign up for?
A
There are no fixed-term contracts with super simple shop. You just pay for the service each month for as long as you are using it. If you no longer want your shop, it’s really easy to close and there are no fees or penalties to pay.

How do my customers pay for my goods?
A
You can use your shop just to show your goods and ask your customers to pay offline, or they can pay through the site. At the moment we support payment through paypal, but we’ll be adding more options soon.

What do I need in order to start selling?
A
If you just want to display your products but take payments offline, then all you need is • Something to sell and digital photographs of your products • A valid credit card to pay for your online store – but only AFTER your free trial If you want to take payments online then you’ll also need: • An account with PayPal to accept payments from your customers

Can I use my own domain name with my shop?
A
Yes! Just enter your domain name once you’ve registered your shop details, and then point this to your shop using your registrar. Our help documentation provides details of how to make this point to your shop with different registrars.

Do I need any technical knowledge to have a super simple shop?
A
No! You just need to follow the onscreen instructions. You don’t even have to download anything as we host it all for you. We also have a selection of designs for you to choose from so you don’t need to worry about finding a web designer.

How much does it cost?
A
There is NO set up fee for super simple shop and NO commission on your sales. You simply pay n annual amount depending on how many items you want in your shop: £100 for up to 100 products, £150 for up to 1000 products and £200 for over 1,000 products.

What if I already have a website?
A
You can still set up your very own super simple shop as a unique area for customers to browse and buy your goods, and you can link to it from your existing website. As super simple shop offers a host of extra features (blog, news, portfolio etc.) you may even find its easier and cheaper to use your super simple shop as your main website.
